Rosh has come up with 4 outfit looks for all you Sri Lankan girls out there. And these are outfits you can find alternative options for in your wardrobe at home.
- PRETTY IN PINK – LUNCH DATE
Since Valentine’s day is a Sunday this year, I’ve come up with a couple of day outfits for you girls who have a lunch date or even like a coffee date. This dress is perfect if your even going on a first date and it’s not too much of bling or anything. You can also do like a high tea date with this kinda look. To re-create this look- you can find any alternatives for the stuff I’ve used from your own closet. Any skater dress in a bright colour of your choice would do with a nice pair of heels to match. For this look ive paired this Pink skater dress from Nasty girl with a pair of pink heels from Charles&Keith and a tote bag from Rebecca Minkoff. And of course since it a day look I just threw on a pair of sunglasses from H&M.
- CASUAL FUN –BEACH DATE
This is my go to look when I’m going on a road trip or to the beach. Perfect for you girls planning to go to mount beach or drive up to Negambo or go down south this Sunday with your boyfriend/husband/date. Its super comfy and yet stylish. And this outfit I’m sure most of you girls can find right at home. I’ve thrown on a pair of denim shorts and paired it with a regular T-shirt and I’ve got a faux denim button up shirt with me which can be used as a change of top if you get sweaty or even use it as a picnic blanket just in case you decide to have an impromptu beach snack. Also I’m carrying my shoulder fringe bag and makes it super cool and boho!
- CLASSIC CHIC- AFTERNOON
This is a classic black and white combo for an arty date. Now this is for you girls out there looking for a classic-sophisticated look. This can be either a lunch outing or even for an evening date! It’s a simple look that anyone can easily recreate. Ive just paired a pair of skinny jeans from Marks&Spenser with a casual white sleeveless top. I think what really makes this look stand out is the crochet fringe duster that ive put over the whole thing and it adds a lot to the look. For accessories I’ve worn a pair of sunglasses from forever21 and my Michael Kors black bag. And I threw on a pair of booties from Zara – you can wear whatever you are comfortable in.
4. POP OF COLOUR – FANCY DATE
So this is for you girls who’s husbands/boyfriend is taking you out to some fancy restaurant for dinner or is surprising you with a nice afternoon drink. Just a little pop of colour I felt made this look less boring than the full black outfit. Any coloured pencil skirt that you have at home would do. I wore this beautiful olive midi skirt from Boohoo.com and threw on a basic black T-shirt from H&M. I love this pencil skirts cause you can just wear a T-shirt over them and they still look really dressy! I glammed it up with a gold chain and a pair of heels that also have a hint of colour! Carrying a clutch with this look cause I wanted to keep it a bit fancy!
