Vadai has always received a life-long love from us Lankans for its homely flavours, childhood memories and multiple good times. Be it isso, parippu or ulundu, vadai is always welcome in a Sri Lankan tummy.
We’ve broken this age-old snack into a few easy steps, so have a go and let us know how you fared!

Method:
- Soak Ulundu for 8 – 10 hours
- Then grind it in a grinder adding very little water
- Add salt, chopped onion, chopped green chili, cumin powder, chilli flakes and coriander leaves

- Heat oil, make shapes by dipping the thumb in a bowl of oil or water and making a hole in a dollop of batter
