Cooking with Aunty D.


Here’s a yummy Lankan curry you can enjoy bwith your rice! Get cooking!

Ingredients:

  • Karavila 250 g
  • Onion (small) 1
  • Green chillies 3
  • Capsicum (large) 1
  • Tomato (large) 1
  • Maldive fish 2 tsp
  • Oil 2 tsp
  • Chilli flakes 1 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Rampa & curry leaves

Method:

  1. Heat oil and add curry leaves, rampa, onion, garlic, maldive fish and turmeric powder.
  2. Then add sliced karavila (remove seeds), green chillies, tomato, salt and sugar. Then add chilli flakes and cook for about 5 minutes. Add capsicum.
  3. Cook for a further 5-10 minutes.
