Menu

Cup Café offers the classic Café environment, with a maximum of about 4 tables to sit at. Although the place is small, they have two booths that could fit about 5 or 6 people. The interior is decorated with rustic stools and light bulbs, forming an overall cozy setting. The staff is really helpful and the food is made right there so you can bask in the wonderful aromas while you wait for your food!

Drinks

Lime Mojito – Rs. 450

This drink was very refreshing! Considering that Cup Café was an escape from the sun outside, the lime virgin mojito did the trick! Served in a mug with sliced lime and freshly crushed mint leaves, the flavors combined surprisingly well! The right levels of tang and the fizz made it nicer to wash down the equally delicious (if not more) food we ordered.

Food

Beef Double-Decker Burger – Rs.650

The only bad part about this dish was that the burger was too massive to fit in your mouth! Consisting of two fresh beef patties, green apple and deliciousness, this dish filled us right up! It was served with a side of manioc chips, bringing its own twist from the usual French fries on the side. We absolutely loved this dish! Definitely worth the bucks!

BBQ Chicken Submarine – Rs.520

The best part about the submarine menu was that they have a lot of submarine options! They’ve got different choices for veggie, fish, chicken and beef lovers! We opted to try the BBQ Chicken and boy were we not disappointed! The Submarine also consisted of Green apple which added a different flavor to the mildly spicy, smoke-y flavored chicken within the bread. The submarine was well over a foot-long, and the bread was simply soft and fresh! The meat was succulent which a bonus point. This dish also came with a side of manioc chips.

Coffee Waffles – Rs.550

We decided to go out of our usual range for waffles and tried out the Coffee Waffle! Priced at 550, this dish came with freshly baked waffles that were topped with vanilla ice cream, coffee syrup and coffee beans! The warm waffles and the cold ice cream offered a nice contrast in texture and flavor. 10/10 recommended if you love caffeine!

All in all, Cup Café is worth a trip to. Since it is very conveniently located down Galle road, it shouldn’t be that hard to drop by! We fell in love with their food mostly because it was really fresh and made right there. Let us know how your experience was!
