Garlic is a favourite spice of many Sri Lankans! Here’s an innovative and delicious way to make it into a curry!
Ingredients:
- Garlic 500g
- Onion 1 small
- Fenugreek seeds ½ tsp
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
- Maldive fish 1 tsp
- Cinnamon stick 1
- Green chilies 2
- Curry powder ½ tsp
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- Chili flakes 1 tsp
- Coconut milk 1 cup
- Curry Leaves and Rampa
Method:
1. Heat oil and add fenugreek seeds, curry leaves and rampa, onion, turmeric powder and maldive fish
2. Then add garlic, chili powder, green chili, curry powder, cinnamon and salt
3. Cover the lid and allow it to cook for 5 minutes
4. Then add coconut milk, reduce the heat, close the lid and cook on a low flame
