Semolina (Rulan) 1 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Butter ½ cup
Water 2 ½ cups
Ghee 1 tsp (optional)
Saffron Powder 1 pinch
1. Melt butter and add cashews and plums (if you are using unsalted butter, add ¼ tsp of salt)
2. Add semolina (rulan) into the cashew mixture and stir until slightly roasted. If 3. you wish, add ghee (optional)
4. Add sugar and water immediately one after the other, in order to prevent lumps forming
5. Add saffron (or orange colouring)
