An all-time favourite of every Sri Lankan, make this delicious Seeni Sambol for dinner tonight with some Roast Paan! Get cooking!
Ingredients:
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Large Onions 500 g
- Curry Leaves & Rampa
- Chilli Flakes 2 ½ tbsp.
- Pepper 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder ½ tsp
- Green Chilli 2 Nos.
- Maldives Fish 2 tbsp
- Sugar 2 tbsp
- Cinnamon 1 inch
- Salt 2 tbsp
- Tamarind Juice 2 tsp
- Cloves 2 Nos.
- Cardamom 2 Nos.
Method:
- Heat oil & add large onions, curry leaves, rampa, chilli flakes, pepper, turmeric powder, green chillies, maldives fish, sugar, cinnamon stick, salt & tamarind juice.
- Mix well and allow to cook for 5 minutes.
- Add cloves & ground cardamom. Mix well & cook in low heat, covered for 20 minutes.
- Enjoy it with some hot hot Kade Paan!
