Something sweet and Sri Lankan to the core – Pol cake is the perfect dessert! Check out our recipe below!
Ingredients:
Coconut treacle 2 cups
Sugar 1 cup
Salt ¼ tsp
Coconut 300g
Margarine 200g
Vanilla 2 tsp
Cinnamon
Cardamom
Nutmeg powder 1 tsp
Flour 150g
Baking powder 2 tsp
Baking soda ½ tsp
Method:
1. On a medium flame, add coconut treacle and sugar Stir well.
2. Then add sugar, salt and coconut.
3. Mix the ingredients well.
4. Transfer the mixture to a bowl, and add margarine, vanilla, and cinnamon. Mix well.
5. Add flour and baking powder.
6. Bake at 220 F for 30 minutes
