Pineapple Curry

Sri Lankans absolutely love Annasi, and we’re always looking for more ways to cook it! Here’s a delicious pineapple curry recipe to try out at home.


  • Annasi 1 large
  • Oil 2 tsp
  • Onion 1 small
  • Maldive Fish 1 tsp
  • Green chilli 2
  • Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
  • Curry powder ½ tsp
  • Chilli flakes 1 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp 
  • Chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Sugar 1 ½ tbsp
  • Coconut Milk 1/4 cup
  • Kalu kudu 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves and rampa


1. Heat oil and add onion, curry leaves/rampa, and maldive fish

2.  Clean and cut annasi into small cubes

3. Add annasi, green chilli, turmeric, curry powder, chilli flakes, salt, chilli powder, sugar, and allow this to cook for 10 – 15 minutes

4. Finally add kalu kudu and take the dish off the flame
