Fried Tempered Potato

Here’s how you can make a Lankan staple at home!


  • Potato 500g
  • Green Chilli 3
  • Onion 2 medium
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Maldive fish 2 tbsp
  • Cinnamon ¼ inch
  • Cardamom 2 pods
  • Turmeric Powder ¼ tsp
  • Chilli flakes 3 tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Rampe
  • Curry Leaves
  • N-Joy Coconut Oil



  1. Cut potatoes into small cubes. Use N-Joy coconut oil and fry potato cubes until golden brown.
  2. Heat another pan, add 3 tsp N-Joy coconut oil. Add green chilli, onion, garlic, rampe, curry leaves, maldive fish, cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric porwder, chilli flakes and salt. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes
  3. Add fried potato and mix together well.
