Black Pork Curry

Black Pork Curry has always been a crowd favourite – here’s how you can make it in your very own kitchen!


  • Pork  500g
  • Onion 1 (medium)
  • Chili Powder 2tsp
  • Pepper 1tsp
  • Ginger and Garlic 1tsp
  • Turmeric Powder 1/3 tsp
  • Goraka (3 cloves)
  • Fenugreek Seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Cardamom 3
  • Cloves 4
  • Green Chili 2
  • Water 2 1/2 cups
  • Salt 1.5 tsp
  • Curry Leaves 1
  • Roasted Black Curry Powder (Kalu Kudu) ½ tsp
  • Rampe and Cinnamon


  1. Wash and cut the pork into cubes.
  2. Add chili powder, pepper, turmeric, goraka, ginger, garlic, fenugreek seeds, cardamom, cloves, green chilies, cinnamon, curry leaves and salt.
  3. Mix everything well.
  4. Add water and cook.
  5. Finally, when it is ready, add the roasted black curry powder (kalu kudu) and switch the cooker off.
