The festive season is just around the corner, and that means Christmas holidays are nearby! Whether you plan on taking a vacation or simply spending some quality time at home this year, you certainly need a good book to keep you company! So here’s a list of the 5 best books to curl up with this Christmas – whilst enjoying a steaming mug of hot chocolate of course!

The classic novel Little Women is the perfect reminder of family, love, friendship, and the gift of giving this Christmas season! 3. The Snow Child – Eowyn Ivey
Whether or not you’re having a white Christmas, this novel will transport you to a snowy place! It tells the story of Jack and Mabel, two newcomers to Alaska. Childless, they are drifting apart and being worn down by the stress of work. During the first snowfall, they build a child out of snow and the next day it is replaced by a small blond girl running through the snowy forest. This fairytale appears incredibly unbelievable, but in this beautiful and violent place, things are rarely as they appear. It is a heartwarming, heartbreaking, and incredible novel to immerse yourself in this season.
4. The Red Garden – Alice Hoffman

Hoffman’s novel is an intricately weaved web of characters and a brilliant, luminous, yet haunting storyline which transports the reader to the world of Blackwell, Massachusetts.
