Cooking with Aunty D.
Since it’s international coffee day we’ve got you a tiramisu recipe! Get cooking and give your loved ones a coffee filled dessert for afternoon tea.
- Double cream 500 ml
- Mascarpone cheese 250 g
- Sugar 5 tbsp
- Strong coffee 300 ml
- Finger biscuits 175 g
- Cocoa powder 2 tsp
- Marsala 2 tsp
- Put cream, mascarpone, marsala and sugar in a large bowl. Whisk until the cream and mascarpone have completely combined. Or you can mix mascarpone, marsala and sugar and add the cream, thereafter.
- Dip finger biscuits in the coffee. Layer the soaked biscuits in your dish until you have used half of the biscuits. Then spread over half of the cream mixture.
- Place another layer of biscuits on top of the cream layer and spread the remaining cream over.
- Cover and chill overnight. When serving, dust with cocoa powder.
