Tempered Potatoes is the spicy dish you need to make your Lankan lunch absolute perfection! Get cooking!


  • Potatoes 500 g
  • Onion (Large) 2
  • Green Chillies 3
  • Garlic 3 cloves
  • Turmeric 1/4 tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Chilli flakes 1 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tsp
  • Maldive fish 2 tsp
  • Curry leaves & rampa


  1. Clean and cut potatoes into small cubes.
  2. Then fry potato cubes until light golden brown.
  3. Heat oil in a separate saucepan and add green chillies, curry leaves & rampa, garlic, turmeric, maldive fish, chilli flakes and onion. Mix well. 
  4. Add fried potato cubes. Mix well and cover with lid. Cook for 10 minutes on a very low flame.
