  • Chicken 1 kg
  • Chilli powder 3 tsp
  • Curry powder 1 tsp
  • Pepper 1 1/2 tsp
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Vinegar 3 tsp
  • Garlic 5 cloves
  • Ginger 1 inch
  • Cardamom 3
  • Cloves 3
  • Onion (small) 1
  • Cinnamon 1 inch stick
  • Green chilli 2
  • Thick coconut milk 2 cups
  • Curry leaves
  • Rampe
  • Lemon grass
  • Kalu Kudu (Roasted Curry Powder) 1 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 3 tsp


  1. Clean and cut the chicken.
  2. Add chilli powder, curry powder, pepper, salt and vinegar.
  3. Finely chop garlic, ginger, cardamom and cloves.
  4. Add this to the chicken. Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes.
  5. Heat oil, add onion, curry leaves, rampe, lemon grass and cinnamon stick. Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes on low heat.
  6. Add thick coconut milk and cook.
  7. Finally, add kalu kudu and roasted mustard powder.
