Avurudu is just around the corner, and it’s time to get started on those delicious New Year recipes!

Check out how to make some homemade Kokis below.


  • White rice flour 750g
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Egg 1
  • Sugar 1/8 cup
  • Thick coconut milk
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Fortune Coconut Oil


  1. Add turmeric powder, egg, sugar to the white flour and mix well.
  2. Then add a little coconut milk and make a paste.
  3. Keep it for 30 minutes
  4. Then add salt, coconut milk again and make a batter which isn’t too thick or runny
  5. Then heat the Kokis mold with fortune coconut oil and dip it into the Kokis batter. Then dip it into the heated oil.
  6. Fry until golden brown.
