Cooking with Aunty D.
Rice is a dish we simply cannot do without! Here’s how you can make a festive rice dish this Christmas. Get cooking!
Ingredients:
- Fortune Basmati Rice 250 g
- Water
- Chicken stock (salted) 2 cups
- Boiled chicken 200 g
- Garlic Powder
- Mustard sauce
- Red bell pepper (large) 1
- Green bell pepper (large) 1
- Garlic 5 cloves
- Onion (medium) 1
- Cinnamon 1 inch
- Olive oil 2 tsp + 2 tsp
- Celery
- Bacon
Method:
- Wash Fortune Basmati Rice and keep aside.
- Heat olive oil. Add onion, garlic, cinnamon stick and washed rice. Cook for about 3-5 minutes and then add chicken stock. Cook the rice.
- Heat olive oil in a separate pan and add boiled chicken, mustard, pepper and garlic powder.
- Cook until golden brown and add celery after 1 minute. Add green and red bell peppers.
- Mix this with the cooked rice.
- Garnish with bacon and serve.
