Sri Lankan Team Devils on Wheels placed 2nd runners up at SHEMUD 2018

2018 Nov 19

Extraordinary women breaking new boundaries!

SHEMUD International is the world’s first all-women extreme 4X4 challenge, featuring female competitors from all across the planet; especially from our own nation! Held annually in the rain forests of Malaysia, this experience tests speeds, endurance and skill, as teams race through muddy terrains and dense forests.

More than 10 nations participate every year, beginning with 4 days in the Malaysian jungle and a 2 day Grand Finale within the city. The core objective of SHEMUD International is to encourage and improve the performance of the women’s 4X4 community; which in turn helps us understand and recognize the potential we have as well.

Proving that racing is not just for men, Sri Lanka’s very own Team Devils on Wheels took part in this year’s challenge, consisting of two talented young girls; Ashvitha and Maryse. Previously winning the 2nd runner’s up title in 2016, Team Devils on Wheels have managed to land 2nd runners up yet again!

Time after time, Sri Lankan women have persevered and proven that they are capable of many things!

Congratulations Team Devils on Wheels!
