Ingredients:
Oil 1 tbsp
Ghee 1 tsp
Bombay Onion 1 large
Cinnamon 1 inch
Star Anise 2 nos
Clove 4 nos
Cardamom 3 nos
Pepper Corn 10 nos
Ginger + Garlic 1 tbsp
Tomato 2 large
Turmeric 1 tbsp
Biryani mix 2 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp
Cumin Powder 1 tsp
Coriander Powder 2 tsp
Beef 350g
Yoghurt 1 nos
Coriander Leaves 1/4 cup
Basmati Rice 1 1/2 cups
Water 2 cups
Bay Leaves 3 nos
Clove 4 nos
Cardamom 3 nos
Method:
- Add oil and ghee to a pan and let it heat. Then add Bombay onion, cinnamon, star anise, clove, cardamom and peppercorn. Stir.
- Add ginger and garlic, tomato, turmeric, biryani mix, salt, cumin powder and coriander powder. Add the beef and mix well.
- Add yoghurt and cover with a lid. Let sit for a few minutes.
- Add coriander leaves, cover and keep aside.
- Add water to washed basmati rice and bay leaves, cloves and cardamom. Once the rice is cooked, add in beef mixture.
- Add more coriander leaves and stir well.
