7 Star Semolina 1 packet
Desiccated coconut 750g
Coconut treacle 1 1/2 cups
Sugar 1 cup
Salt 1/4 tsp
Vanilla 1 tsp
Add 7 Star semolina into a pan and let it roast for a few minutes.
Add desiccated coconut into a pan followed by coconut treacle and sugar, stir well and let the mixture rest on the heat for a while.
Mix the paste well by adding salt and vanilla. Remove from heat after mixing well.
Add roasted semolina into the paste and mix well once more.
Add the paste in between two baking sheet papers and flatten until the paste is even and consistent.
Finally cut the rulan aluwa into square shapes and serve.
