Polos Mallum | Cooking with Aunty D

Ingredients: 

Polos (Finely cut) 500g

Water 1 1/2 cups

Turmeric 1/2 tsp

Salt 1 tsp

Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp

Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp

Cinnamon 1/4 inch

Curry Leaves 5 nos

Garlic 2 cloves

Red onions 5 nos

Kochchi/Nai Miris 5 nos

Coconut (grated) 1 cup

Method:

  1. Place finely cut pollos into a pan and add water. Cover the lid and cook in a medium heat until the water evaporates.
  2. Ground Mustard, cumin, cinnamon,curry leaves, red onion, kochchi and add grated coconut.
  3. Then add the coconut mixture to the cooked pollos and mix well. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes.
