Cooking with Aunty D.
Pol mallum is a delicious Lankan side dish to have at any time of the day! Get cooking!
Ingredients:
- Kochchi 6
- Garlic cloves 6
- Small red onions 10
- Turmeric 1 tsp
- Salt 1 1/2 tsp
- Grated Coconut 1
- Oil 1 tbsp
- Shrimp (Kunisso) 150 g
- Rampa
- Curry leaves
- Lime juice
Method:
- Add kochchi, garlic, red onions and grind well.
- Add turmeric powder, salt and scraped coconut.
- Heat oil in a pan and add rampa, curry leaves and washed shrimps (kunisso). Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add ground coconut mixture and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Finally add some lime juice.
