Murukku | Cooking with Aunty D

7 Star All-Purpose Flour 2 cups

Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp

Salt 1 1/2 tsp

Chilli Powder 1 tbsp

Cumin 1 tsp

Water 1/2 cup

Oil (To fry)


Steam 7 Star All-Purpose Flour.

Add the steamed flour into a bowl followed by turmeric powder, salt, chilli powder, cumin and mix well.

Next, add water into the bowl and mix well to create the murukku paste.

Take a handful of murukku paste and pack it well into the murukku maker mould.

Create a spiral shape for the murukku on to baking sheet paper.

Add oil into a pan and slowly place the spiral shape murukku into the oil.

Let the murukku fry well in the oil until golden brown and remove from the oil once done.
