The members of LTTE were brainwashed and indoctrinated to follow its leadership unquestioningly. They ardently believed their leader and were dedicated to their cause. Thousands of LTTE cadres were highly trained, skilled, experienced and ready to fight unto death. The 30-year long reign of terror finally ended victoriously in May 2009, when Sri Lanka Army defeated them militarily. It is the true story of defeating terrorism and brining eternal peace to Sri Lanka.”

Road To Nandikadal is a story that will amaze readers right from the beginning until the very end. It is a bit of a long read. However, the extreme detail the writer goes into when speaking of battle preparation and the delicate situation Sri Lanka was in during the three-decade long war brings about many emotions that cannot be put into words.

As you read how difficult it was for the soldiers and for everyone who lived during those troubled times, you also tend to live the writers words, understanding how he felt, especially since most of us did experience the terrors and fears of the raging war.

If you are a lover of history, then this book is definitely for you.
